Trailer shall be equipped with Tie-Down & Sling provisions in accordance with MIL-STD-209 and all provisions shall be labeled accordingly.
Trailer shall be capable of transporting ammunition
Trailer shall be conforming to MIL-STD-130 with identification plates showing specific UID markings. Plate shall include contractor’s model number, NSN, USMC registration number, trailer identification number, weight, date of mfg, and date of delivery. Plates shall conform to A-A-50271 or standard plates subject to approval.
Trailer shall be equipped with instruction plates and/or diagrams describing procedures followed for operation, service, and lubrications. Plates shall be in accordance with A-A-50271 and be affixed to the trailer using screws, bolts, or rivets.
Trailer shall have a shipping plate of the LEUT Type I with a silhouette showing the transport configuration, weight, center of gravity, as well as location and capacity of the slinging and tie-down provisions.
Weld procedures and qualifications are in accordance with D14.3.
